Residence Hall @ KMUTT Bangmod Campus (Dhammaraksa Residence Hall) has received the budget from the government for the budget year of 1995-1997 in the amount of 190.8 million Baht. The dormitory for male residents has 23 meters in width and 69 meters in length divided into 11 storys with 264 rooms available for 944 students and the construction cost of 130.7 million Baht (One hundred thirty million and seven hundred thousand Baht only) while the dormitory for female residents has 23 meters in width and 35.7 meters in length divided into 10 storys with 110 rooms available for 388 students and the construction cost of 60.1 million baht (sixty million and one hundred thousand baht only).
In the academic year of 2003, the Residence Hall converted the dormitory for male to female residents and another for female to male residents in order to fulfill the requirement of female students of which the number continually increases every year while the number of male students gradually decreases. The Administrative Committee was aware of the situation and then arranged the conversion of the dormitories from 1 June 2003 to accommodate 388 male and 944 female residents or totally 1,332 residents.
In the past 2005, the Administrative Committee realized that it was important and necessary to develop and strengthen the administrative system of the Residence Hall to be the same standard as other dormitories in the South East Asia; therefore, all staff from every department cooperated to have brainstorming about preparing strategic plans for the Residence Hall to establish vision, plans and projects/activities for practice in order to enhance efficiency of the operation during the year of 2006-2010.
In 2006, the brainstorming was set up to develop the Residence Hall by adapting the visions to be in line with the administration, preparing development plans and administrative directions, and improving operation and management of the Residence Hall for the academic year of 2007-2009.
Since June 2007, the Residence Hall has extended its services to the staff/operating officers and students studying at Bangkhuntien Campus. BKT Residence Hall received the budget from the University for the budget year of 2006-2008 in the amount of 250 million Baht for the construction of 2 buildings, each of which has 4 storeys with 22 meters in width, 130 meters in length and a central hall on the first floor accessible to both buildings (20 meters in width and 25 meters in length). The North Hall is a dormitory for female residents with 114 rooms available for 304 students while the South Hall is divided into 2 parts which are a dormitory for male residents with 91 rooms available for 327 students or totally 545 students and Seminar Group Room consisting of 38 rooms available for 76 participants.
In 2009, the Residence Hall converted 40 Staff Rooms into rooms for male undergraduate students and male students of Science Classrooms in University-Affiliated School Project (SCiUS) because the number of male students has increased while the number of the staff/officers has decreased. The conversion can fulfill the requirement of the increasing number of undergraduate students and students and make the best use of the Residence Hall.
